EPW - The Ascot, Swiss, doctor's chronograph, 54mm, 18K gold OF original case, gold cuvette marked for retailer Cooke & Kelvey, Calcutta, white enamel SS dial marked "Redepenning's Patent" and with perimeter scales for "Respiration" and "Pulsimeter," SW-pin-set, lever escapement, 11J, gilt mvt, s#737 and s#52324 within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 75.3 dwt (117.1 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, chronograph is a bit erratic upon engagement with hand occasionally stalling or jumping forward or backward a second immediately after engagement before proceeding normally with good function, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, few mild micro-fine scratches; virtually flawless dial with pinpoint finish imperfection near perimeter at 2; fine hands, some oxide to portions of sweep-seconds hand; case shows little wear, some dents and dings to band, some dings and mild soft dents to rear and cuvette, front and rear open somewhat short of 90 degrees (to approximately 80 degrees); tight bow, crown shows light wear; glass crystal with few mild fine scratches.
